“These cookies are very good and I got this out of my mother’s personal recipes. This recipe is from a Lebanese woman who was a friend of my mother’s.”

Buttermilk scones sweetened just to perfection studded with chocolate chips. Kind of like eating a giant chocolate chip cookie for breakfast… without the guilt.
Yes, I just found my new favorite scone!

I tested them out on some friends, and they agree! In fact, we ate them all before I got to take pictures, so I had to make them again.
No worries…

Chocolate makes everything better!

Don't you just love a good biscotti in the morning with a cup of coffee? These Italian biscotti cookies are loaded with pistachios and cranberries, then twice baked to form a crispy delicious cookie, perfect for dunking!
My husband always brings up the Chocolate Pistachio Biscotti I posted last year. I try not to make those too often because the two of us have no self-control when I bake them (so good!).

This year I played around with this cranberry-pistachio version which I adapted from last year's recipe. I cut back on the butter a bit which created a stickier dough… a bit messy to work with so I sprinkling some flour on the dough and cookie tin or you can handle the dough with wet hands but the results where so darn good I wouldn't change a thing next time!

Recieved this from KA Flour and decided to add them to my Holiday Cookie tray as in this house we are major chocolate fans. The description is what made me want to make them. “Chewy, rich chocolate cookies with no added fat and no gluten. They get texture from the egg whites and flavor from cocoa powder (which represents the only fat in the recipe) Plus easy to make, just stir together scoop and bake for 8 minutes. I did add about a cup of cappacino chips and chopped walnuts to mine which did take away from no added fat but it was sure good. The yield depends on the size of your cookies

Low-fat pumpkin spice cookies have a cake ball quality to them, drizzled with chocolate they are seriously good!
These were tested with a group of teenagers who all loved them. Some of you have commented on Skinnytaste that you prefer a softer cake-like cookie, if so this recipe is for you. I found these tasted best the day they were made and even the day after. If you want a cookie with a longer shelf life, or if you are expecting a crunchy cookie, perhaps my Pumpkin Spiced Oatmeal Cookies or Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Chip Cookies would appeal to you instead.
This recipe was adapted from a cookie recipe I found in the Taste of Home Baking Cookbook. It has tons of sweet treats and even a trimmed down favorites section. I am running a giveaway on Skinny Bits, if you are interested, 3 winners will receive the Taste of Home Baking Cookbook as well as a set of Taste of Home and Healthy Cooking Magazines. For a chance to win, visit Skinny Bits. Giveaway ends Wednesday, October 26th.
